If you are a Porsche fan, the ZwartSpeed Porches Cruise-in at the Petersen Museum is where you should have been last weekend. It featured a ton of Porsches ranging from rare classics to modern-day “supercars.” The event was held at the rooftop parking lot with overflows in the covered garage area. Some of these cars were brought in by local PCA club members.
If you like movie cars, especially the ones from the Fast and Furious franchise, then you want to be also inside the Petersen Museum (admission required), where you can check out Letty’s S14, Suki’s S2000, and of course, Brian’s R34 in person, along with many other cars used in the film saga. There is also a few samples from Bruce Meyer’s collection featuring Austin Martins, including an F1 car. Other exhibits include a selection of cool Mercedes. Yes, there is an badass 190E 2.5-16 EVO II!
If you are curious at about these fast cars, go visit the museum before they switch them out. If you must pick a date, do it on the Oktoberfest Euro Cruise-in scheduled for Sunday, Sep 27, from 9AM to noon. Spectators are free for the cruise-in, but you need to register, as spaces are limited. So, act fast if you are curious.
